Benefit Screening: George Nakashima, Woodworker

You’ve done it! You’ve helped us make history!

Many of you joined us for benefit screenings of the the documentary George Nakashima, Woodworker. Your support surpassed our goal of $50,000, bringing funding for the film to completion. Thanks to your contributions the documentary is scheduled for completion by end of March 2019! The release date will be set as soon as distribution is secured.

Once fully funded, John Terry was able to secure James Rutenbeck as co-editor and Peter Frumkin as co-writer. Both are notably strong in story structure, and are keenly positioned to further refine and solve the puzzle of clues to George’s early life that were uncovered in the enduring twenty years of research.

With great thanks and appreciation, we leave you with words from my cousin, John Terry on the significance of the first, definitive biography documentary on his uncle:

“…the clues [George] left here-and-there became a clever puzzle to be solved mentally and then put together physically. I think that he and his work cannot truly be understood without joining both his journey and the fulfillment of the answers he found.”
